David Mondedeu – Further South than Planned
Further South than Planned is an artist book, consisting of 35 free-standing, hand-pulled, polymer photogravures printed by the artist. It is structured as a novel, divided up into three chapters which correspond to separate territories and/or countries, time periods, and emotional states. Traveling down the backbone of Africa, from the northern desertlands in The Sahrawi refugee camps in The Western Sahara, all the way south to Mozambique, to return to the heart of central Africa in Uganda which lies on the equator.
